I know that as we are trying to lose weight, we focus mainly on cardio in an effort to burn calories. But did you know that although muscle weighs more than fat, it also burns fat while at rest? Yup. That means you can burn more calories while sleeping if you have more muscle tone, rather than having no muscle tone at all. How awesome is that???

Today’s workout is going to focus on building and toning muscle with just a resistance band and some determination.

  • Bicep Curls to Lateral Raise
  • Squat Shoulder Press
  • Side Lying Leg Raise (right)
  • Side Lying Leg Raise (left)
  • Front Lunge, Front Raise
  • Back Lunge, Oblique Twist
  • Lying Knee Ins

50 seconds work, 10 seconds rest, repeat 4 times for a total of 28 minutes.
